The Value of Gratitude

 There's no doubt that living this human life can be a real challenge.

Even the Buddha himself told us that life involves suffering - and subsequently provided an 8 fold path that leads to the end of it...

So let's explore ourselves today if there is one little way we can help ourselves through this life with a little less suffering. If we could all attain Nirvana that would be ideal, but since many of us are already busy and overwhelmed - is there something more 'bite size' or 'grab and go' that we can incorporate?

I humbly suggest that gratitude is this tool, given to humanity as a little pathway toward feeling better each day. No matter where you are at in this moment - at the top of the world or down in the dumps - it will certainly change...

Gratitude can be there for us consistently, so we stay calm and even through the roller coaster of life.

So today, or even just right now - choose to be grateful!

Grateful for the small things, grateful for the big things! Grateful for your body, your mind, your bed, your water and food. Show that gratitude with thoughts, feelings, words, actions.
